Case studies

Please see below for some case studies from our current referrers.

Read what they have to say about the programme, why they signed up and how they are finding making referrals.

Rowlands Pharmacy - Henley Avenue

Why did your organisation decide to sign up as Referrer for the GO Active, Get Healthy programme?

Our Area Manager signed us up and gave us the posters up and our leaflets, but we were happy to contribute to the promotion of a healthy lifestyle. It seemed a good idea to help people to get active and improve their quality of life.

How have you found the process of referring patients into the programme?

Not easy as most customers are in a hurry and have no time to talk. But we try our best to promote the service.

How comfortable are you discussing the issue of physical inactivity with your patients?

We feel quite comfortable about asking customers about their inactivity, we try to enhance the importance of a healthy lifestyle. We ask everybody we can in the pharmacy when we have a moment, especially customers that are trying to give up smoking, buying diet products, people with high cholesterol.

Does it make it easier having the GO Active, Get Healthy programme here for you to signpost people to?

Yes it is an extra service to sign post and patients find it very attractive.

Have you seen any patients that have benefited from the programme or received any feedback?

Maybe more free or group activities during the weekends, more variety of sports such as boxing, basketball... (more intense sports)
